Our DonorsAside from corporate donations, CHILD Foundation has relied on numerous individuals for support. Donations ranging from P100 to thousands of pesos come from people from all walks of life. CHILD Foundation organizes regular activities for patients and their families, in partnership with student groups and civic organizations. Donations also come in the form of food, toys, clothes, blankets, and entertainment for the children and their families.
Ad Staunch Communication Network, Inc.Ad Staunch Communication Network, Inc., a regular donor of the foundation, donated 10 units of 5lb oxygen tanks, 10 pcs oxygen gauges and 20 pcs ear thermometerson December 10, 2012. The oxygen tanks which will be given to patients in need who are to be discharged from the Department of Pediatrics while the ear thermometers to be distributed to residents rotating at Wards 9, 11, PICU, NICU and PER.
Heroes’ descend on SilahisngKalusugan for Christmas.Every year, Reggie Rosero, in full costume as 501st Legion Stormtrooper of the Star Wars saga, visit the SilahisngKalusugan, a special school for chronically ill children at the Department of Pediatrics of the Philippine General Hosputal, to bring gifts and fun every Christmas as part of a group of friends and fellow fans and cosplayers. On Dec 19, Reggie Rosero, the Charity Liaison Officer of the 501st Legion Stormtroopers of the Philippines came with fellow stormtrooper, Captain Jack Sparrow, Superman, Batman and other ‘heroes’ came for their 6th Christmas Party with the kids of Silahis as well as their teachers and parents for a half-day of fun, shows, and gift-giving.

Rotary Club of San Juan del Monte donates funds for medicinesBy enjoining the Club’s members, the Rotary Club (RC) of San Juan Del Monte was able to donate a total of P45,000 to the Department of Pediatrics. The amount will be used to purchase medicines for a number of patients confined at the pediatric wards. The Club raised the amount with the help of the following: Sim and Joy Chua, Debbie Yulo, Alpha Kwok and Marjorie Go. Ms Pilar Lee of the RC of San Juan Del Monte introduced the idea of donating to the Department through the CHILD Foundation, Inc.
St. Scholastica’s College Manila High School Batch ’88 Section 4A
Together with some friends, alumni of St. Scholastica’s College Manila High School Batch ’88 Section 4A conducted their 2nd outreach to the PGH Department of Pediatrics Wards 9 and 11 on August 11, 2012. The team headed by Andrea Boado-Co, Representative of Outreach Projects Committee, conductedstorytelling sessions and distributed snacks, storybooks, balloons and toys tothe patients in the two pedia wards. St. Scho Batch ’88 Section 4A also donated 100 500ml bottles of ethyl alcohol for use of the wards and other units of the Department.
World Health Organization Staff Association
The Staff Association of the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific, headed by Beth Pua, Staff Association Treasurer, donated the following equipment and supplies: 20 ambu bags, five 5 nebulizers, 5 BP APD for pedia and 5 pedia cuffs. The officers and members of the association also distributed fruits to the patients of Ward 9 during their visit on on July 26, 2012 for the turnover of their donation.
